Scotch and Soda campaign
For my individual fashion campaign, I decided to create storytelling, illustrated campaign for Scotch and Soda. I wanted to use my writing skills to create a story aligned with brand values of travelling, making memories and cherishing the objects we collect on our way, including clothing. I decided on writing a brand tale bringing this kind of childhood nostalgia and longing for magical fairytales with a happy ending. As clothes are more of an embaelishement to the otherwise very emotional and engaging story, it makes the whole campaign more genuine and allows the customer to connect to the brand on a deeper level.
CAMPAIGN STORY
Not so long ago and not that far away Lisa felt stuck. In her small apartment in Amsterdam, with the big city lights shining through the window she was longing for memories of a carefree childhood. Going through the old trunk of items unloved and unwanted for a long time she stumbled upon a piece of fabric that her father brought from India when she was a little girl. This one snipped of history sparked the kind of nostalgia she had never felt before. She needed a change, a breath of fresh air to remind her that life is a never-ending journey.
And so her journey began. In the burning sun of India, she found herself vibrating with the colours, textures, and patterns of the busy streets of Agra. But just like her father, she wanted more. So she moved on to experience the world…
…To let her spirit free. And she found herself in Japan, mesmerized by cherry blossoms exploding with shades of pink and in that moment when she breathed in the warm gently scented air her heart exploded with passion for the beauty of this world…
…With desire to discover more of it. But by a complete accident or maybe fate she discovered a treasure of true love. When she turned her eyes from imposing Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence she remarked a man of her dreams staring at her with a smile. “Where are you from” he asked…
…And she had to show him. But now she knew that there was so much more to her heritage. She took him to London to meet her father but she was sure she wants to take him everywhere. Because along her journey she learned that she couldn’t simply be defined by the place she lived. There was so much more to life and so much more to her…
…She was from Amsterdam…
…She was from everywhere…
